Daniel Temam

Former Chief Editor at INSEE - The French Agency of Statistics and Economic Studies

Daniel graduated both from Ecole Polytechnique (the leading Engineering School in France) and ENSAE Paris (National School for Statistics and Economic Administration). In 1972 he joined INSEE (National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies), the agency in charge of the production, analysis and publication of official statistics in France.

At INSEE, he has held several senior positions, including Chief Editor of the journal "Économie et Statistique", Chief Editor and Advisor to the Director of Publication.

Between 1996 and 1999 he was chief editor of the Report on the nation's account statements, the annual report issued by INSEE to describe the state of the economy in France.

He was also an author and member of the editorial Board for “Alternatives Economiques”. He is also the author of various books including “La Nouvelle Comptabilité Nationale” (Editions Dunod 1999).

 

Daniel retired from INSEE in 2013.
