Alain Maillot

Partner / Founder, Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier

Since his admission to the Paris Bar in 1979, Alain Maillot has been active in advising clients in international transactions with the exception of a one-year study at the University of Chicago Law School.


As a merger and acquisitions lawyer, he has been involved in representing buyers or sellers of companies, and creating joint ventures between European and non-European entities. He has also represented investors acquiring companies in connection with privatizations.


He regularly represents both industrial buyers and private equity investors.
He has recently engaged in teaching cross border mergers in Paris primarily but has also been an adjunct professor in New York and in Singapore.

Alain Maillot holds a PhD from Paris Law School. He graduated MBA from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises and Master in Comparative Law both from Institut de Droit Comparé (Paris) and MCL from Chicago Law School.
